What does Barbara Becker have to do with Scotland? In fact, ancient paternal ancestors of mine came from this wonderful country, which surprises us with its unique natural beauty.
Rich in culture and famous for their warmth, the Scottish heartily invite us to come to know and love this country and its people. There is a lot to discover; juicy fresh meadows on which scraggy highland cattle graze comfortably, rolling hills in soft green bordering the hard and stony Atlantic coast and refreshingly clear lakes and roaring waterfalls that criss-cross the magnificent scenery. When a gentle summer wind blows in the afternoon, it sometimes carries the nasal tone of bagpipes through the air. Men in kilts in varying plaid designs - the famous tartan – pass mistrustfully serious-looking sheep. A true play of clear colours awaits the eye of the beholder here, which espies much loneliness but also much that is picturesque, especially when walking through the melancholy wilderness of the Scottish highlands. Simply perfect for my new Home Collection.
